Why is PurviewNext no longer taking place as originally planned?

After careful consideration, we will no longer be able to proceed with PurviewNext as originally planned following recent leadership changes at Microsoft and the broader Security organization's realignment.

Our commitment to our customers remains unchanged, and we plan to re-engage through a virtual event this summer while continuing close collaboration through account teams. This decision allows us to deliver a more cohesive and valuable experience to our customers.

Will there be a replacement event or alternative engagement?

Importantly, this is a deferral and not a cancellation. We are planning a virtual customer engagement this summer. As Microsoft sharpens its focus on AI, data security, and a One Microsoft approach, including the integration of Purview and Intune, we are taking time to ensure our strategy and messaging are fully aligned before engaging customers at scale.

What happens to my PurviewNext registration?

All registrations will be automatically cancelled, and no further action is required on your end. If you have made any hotel, air, or transportation arrangements for PurviewNext, please cancel those directly with your organization’s travel provider.

Will Microsoft cover any incurred travel or accommodation costs?

We understand that you may have already made travel arrangements. Please refer to your airline, hotel, or travel provider’s booking and cancellation policies. At this time, Microsoft cannot reimburse travel or accommodation expenses related to this event.

I had scheduled meetings during PurviewNext. What happens to those?

Your Microsoft account team will work with you to reschedule planned meetings or confirm an alternative format.

How should we stay engaged with Microsoft in the meantime?

This change does not impact your ongoing engagement with Microsoft. Your account team remains your primary point of contact and will continue to partner with you and the Purview Engineering teams on active priorities, product discussions, and future engagement opportunities.

Will any content or insights from PurviewNext still be shared?

We are actively working on alternative ways to connect and share meaningful updates with our customers, including a virtual session this summer, and we look forward to staying closely engaged.
